Specialist Osteopathic Care to Support Your Little Ones
Supporting you and your little ones
as they grow
Osteopathy for babies and toddlers has a gentle non-invasive approach to addressing a number of issues and is very beneficial for unsettled babies. By working holistically and looking at the whole body, Cranial Osteopathy can provide comfort and relief to your little one and help bring balance. It can also act as a general check-up to answer any questions or worries you may have, as well as offering support and advice on stretches, nutrition and helpful products.
It can be overwhelming when your baby is unsettled and experiencing difficulties yet they can’t tell you why! And whether or not you’re a first time mum, it can still be a daunting experience especially when you feel like recovery is taking longer or you don’t feel like yourself yet.
This is why we offer Mum & Baby Osteopathy appointments where you can both get treatment, in a safe nurturing space and get to have some TLC yourself. So whether you book in for yourself, your little one or together, we are here to take some of that pressure off by guiding and supporting you as best we can in a calm environment.

A specialised form of Osteopathy which is safe, gentle and non-invasive which helps to soothe and relax infants as well as adults. Through palpation we look at the rhythmic movement of the different bones of the skull and throughout the body, whilst gaining a sense of the involuntary motion, primary respiratory mechanism, membranes and fluid body. It helps to bring about balance to areas of tension, relax the nervous system, muscles and improve movement through the cranial bones and spine gently.

Your first appointment will begin with a consultation and medical history to get a thorough understanding of your pregnancy, little ones overall health, birth and what may be contributing to their symptoms in order to find the root cause. Then we carry out a full top to toe assessment, checking reflexes and if necessary their feeding/latch/ears/head shape/breathing, to form a working diagnosis and create a treatment plan or referral if required.
If your baby is asleep or you need to feed your baby during the appointment it is completely fine to do so as the Osteopath can work around this and still carry out treatment. No need to worry, we aim to make the appointment as comfortable as possible for you and your little one!
